Airport standby

I know we haven't updated our blog lately....but this is why. You see this pic? This is airport standby.
When you sit airport standby you have to sit in the flight attendant lounge for 5 hours.
That's right....just sit and wait to see if they call you.
It seems like a big part of our life the last few weeks has been airport standby.

Los Angeles

SO....we went to LA to celebrate Nayeli's birthday. We took her and 2 of her friends to Buca di Beppo for dinner...it was entertaining.


While we were there we finally got to go to the Griffith Observatory....it has been closed for the last 6 years we have tried to go.

The remodel of the observatory is awesome....not to mention the view. It was an unusually clear night and we got these incredible pictures of downtown.

Winter in Texas

Ok...so it's a little dramatic....(it was only 65 out), but I was freezing. This is me "helping" put up Christmas lights. Hey...I've had plenty of years in the snow and rain. I wanted to let Miguel have a turn!

OK...so when I was home this past week, we celebrated Andy's birthday. (It counts even though it's late!)

I know, I know......I was slightly proud of my present choice this year.......ok, let's be honest, I've been scheming and looking forward to this for almost a whole year. Nothing is too good for my bro.

Ok, so for those of you who know me know that I love Halloween!

I'm a total dork, but I still love to play in front of the blacklight.

I think it's a good look for me!

We decorated for Halloween and this was what we've come up with so far. Nothing major, but we still have a couple of weeks. I wanted to make sure we got a pic of our "special needs" skeleton. Isn't he adorable?

Just because he's missing a few bones (tarsals I think) doesn't mean he can't fulfill his Halloween destiny.
