Semper Fi (Always Faithful)
The Marine Corps Hymn
From the halls of Montezuma,
To the shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.
Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From the dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far-off northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job
The United States Marines.
Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And have never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.
On November 10 is the United States Marine Corps 233 Birthday.

Scary!
Ok, so for those of you who know me know that I love Halloween!
I'm a total dork, but I still love to play in front of the blacklight.
We decorated for Halloween and this was what we've come up with so far. Nothing major, but we still have a couple of weeks. I wanted to make sure we got a pic of our "special needs" skeleton. Isn't he adorable?
Just because he's missing a few bones (tarsals I think) doesn't mean he can't fulfill his Halloween destiny.

Vacation......stressful.....yet relaxing!?!?!?
Where to begin??? So, we were planning a nice ultra-relaxing cruise and for the most part that is what we got, it just didn't play out quite like we planned.
With the unexpected Ike taking a turn for Houston, Miguel, Nayeli and myself opted to leave 4 days early for our cruise. Luckily for us, Andy and Corrie were gracious enough to let us crash at their house unexpectedly.We began our trip in Houston, went to Nashville and then on to Columbus. We then drove down to Cincy and stayed for a couple of days. (Everyone at Mom's had a stomach flu so we were trying to avoid that!)

All things considered....we were pretty happy!
Then the fun began, we heard from our neighbor who said our house looked fine from the outside and there was no water anywhere in our neighborhood. RELIEF!!! We could finally relax a little and enjoy.....so we did. The next couple of days we were in Key West, FL and then on the Cozumel. There was jet-skiing and snorkeling and just good old kickin' back.
